— Jewelry & accessories are clean and polished.

Items not in “ready to sell” condition will not be accepted. In some cases, cleaning and/or repair charges may be incurred. 

Items must be in season i.e. Spring, Summer,Fall or Winter

What’s important to us is that a piece is of a substantial quality that will stand the test of time. For this reason, we avoid accepting fast fashion pieces and big box brands, unless they’re new with tags or especially interesting. We may also decline items based on what we already have in stock. The best way to get a feel for our style and what sort of items we look for is to come in and have a look around.

Items are accepted Tuesday – Friday from 11am – 5pm

Items dropped off will placed in the queue and sorted on a first come first served basis. You will be notified once your items have been processed. Once notified you have 14 days to pick up those items that were not selected for sale. Items not picked up after 14 days will be donated at our discretion.

We limit the number of items accepted to 20 items per drop off

Terms and Conditions

In order to make consignment experience effortless and enjoyable, we’ve implemented a web based tracking and payment system. This will allow you to check on the status of items you have consigned, payouts and sales history. You can gain access to your account by clicking the ‘Login’ in the header.

Our consignment period is 90 days. The default Consignment agreement is 35% to the customer of the final selling price in most cases. We can also negotiate a higher consignor split when items are significantly valuable luxury items. Consignors who send an email asking to be paid out in Store credit will receive an additional 15% credit. Store credit can only be used on purchases in store and never expires. 

Items we accept are generally priced at 30% to 50% of original retail value and discounted every 30 days for the duration of the agreement. Urban Thrift reserves the right to discount consigned items for the purposes of sales or promotions, or end of season without notice and at our discretion. 

Unless special arrangements have been made in advance, all items not sold after 90 days will be recycled or donated to charity.

Payout on accounts is done upon request twice monthly. Please submit your request by emailing dom@urbanthrift.ca using the subject line “Payout” from the email account associated with your account. Dormant accounts, unreachable consignors and credit on accounts for which we have received no direction will expire after 12 months and the account will be archived.
